Caracas, April 27th, 2021
The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela extends its most heartfelt words of condolences for the human losses in the sisterly Republic of India after a concerning second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has left in its wake a notorious acceleration of contagions with almost 350,000 new positive cases and 2,767 deaths in the last 24 hours.
In view of this unfortunate situation, the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela joins the worldwide call to guarantee the mass production, without restrictions, of supplies and vaccines to contain the pandemic, giving priority in their distribution to the most vulnerable and affected sectors, in order to correct the global inequities in the battle against COVID-19.
The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela takes this opportunity to reiterate its words of solidarity, sincere brotherhood and friendship with the Government and People of India.
