New Delhi: A Diwali celebration function was held at the residence of the H. E. Dr. Riyad Abbas, Ambassador of Syria  in India. The Diwali celebrations were jointly organized by H. E. Dr. Riyad Abbas,  and Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder Chairman, Global Trade and Technology Council of India (GTTCI). 

Addressing the Diwali function, H. E. Dr. Riyad Abbas, while congratulating the Indian people on the occasion of Diwali said that he has been in India as the Ambassador of Syria for the last 20 years and he considers India as his second home. 

Mr. KL Malhotra, General Secretary Indo-Arab Fraternity and Gaurav Gupta also addressed the Diwali celebrations. 

The Diwali function ceremony was attended by a large number of diplomats, businessmen and members of social organizations and was followed by a grand lavish dinner and cultural program.
